This site is built to process as little personal data as technically possible. There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels and no advertising, and fonts and all page assets are served from this site's own domain. The one exception is our live-chat widget (Crisp), a strictly necessary functional tool that sets first-party cookies so the chat can work — described below. Because we load nothing for tracking or advertising, there is still no cookie banner: nothing we use requires your consent.
Live chat (Crisp)
We use Crisp to offer a live chat so you can reach us directly. Crisp is operated by Crisp IM SAS, 2 boulevard de Launay, 44100 Nantes, France — a French (EU) provider that runs the service inside the EU, so the core service involves no transfer to a third country. To run a chat session, Crisp sets first-party cookies and localStorage entries (for example a crisp-client session identifier). If you start a conversation, your messages and technical data (session and visitor identifier, browser information) and any contact details you choose to give (name, email) are processed to handle your request. This widget is strictly necessary and functional, which is why it is not placed behind a cookie banner. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering a support and communication channel (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); if you actively contact us, additionally the pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). See Crisp's own privacy policy at crisp.chat/en/privacy/.
Hosting / server logs
The site is hosted as static files on Netlify (Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA; EU data processing addendum in place). Like every web server, Netlify processes technical connection data (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. We do not access or store these logs beyond Netlify's standard retention. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Outbound links
Pages link to external sites (government portals, insurance providers). Some insurance links are affiliate links — when you click one, the destination site may set its own cookies and attribute your visit to us. This happens on the provider's site under the provider's privacy policy; we run no behavioural tracking or analytics while you are on living-abroad.org. See also our affiliate disclosure.
If you write to us, we process your email address and message content to answer you, and delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, plus the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we hold little personal data about visitors — beyond any live-chat conversation you have started — most requests will be answered with "we have nothing stored about you". Contact for all privacy matters: hello@arrimundo.com — the responsible controller is listed in the imprint.
