Requirement-matched
Insurance that gets your visa approved
Most visa rejections over insurance happen because the plan doesn't match the published requirement — wrong coverage amount, duration or type. We map each plan against the actual government wording.
Most visa rejections over insurance happen for a dull reason: the plan does not match the published requirement — wrong coverage amount, wrong duration, or the wrong type of policy. A Schengen visa, for instance, demands at least €30,000 of cover with repatriation.
Below, each plan is mapped against the real government wording of the visas we cover and sorted by entry price. Pick by what your destination actually requires, then open the per-visa page for the exact rule and a compliant option. Travel insurance is not the same as health insurance — and for longer stays, check whether the local public health system is open to you at all.

Insurance requirements by visa
Frequently asked questions
What insurance do digital nomad visas require?
Most require private medical cover valid in the destination for the length of your stay, often with a minimum coverage amount. Schengen-area visas specifically require €30,000 or more with repatriation. The table flags which plans meet the Schengen rule.
Is travel insurance enough for a nomad visa?
Usually not. Short-term travel policies often cap coverage or exclude long stays and routine care. Most visas want a nomad or international health plan that matches the stated duration and amount.
Which plan is cheapest?
The table is sorted by published entry price, but the cheapest compliant plan depends on your age, destination and how long you stay — some insurers price by quote rather than a fixed monthly rate.
Does my policy need to cover the whole stay?
Generally yes. Many consulates check that the policy dates cover the full permit period, which is why open-ended or annual nomad plans are common.
